In 1985-1988 while attending ‘Education for Parish Service’ a two-year curriculum at Trinity College in Washington, D.C.,  I was humbled to be commissioned in the Archdiocese of Washington, D.C. as a Lay Minister for Wake Services, a Reader, Cantor and Eucharistic Minister (Liturgy, Homebound & Department of Pastoral Care at CHRISTUS St. Patrick Hospital in Lake Charles, LA commencing 2001). While a parishioner of St. Bernadette Roman Catholic Church Parish, Springfield, VA, I signed up for the sacristan detail bringing along my one year old son to help and learn, among many assignments, to de-wax the candle holders! I love these ministries for they reach people in such simple and profound ways.

The Father does not abandon His people and abides in them giving them courage and comfort especially during these epiphanic moments! If we but ask!

Grace abounds and so I organized parts of it!
